No. We check VIN format and provide a guide to the official lookup. We do not query a recall database, identify a campaign for your vehicle, or issue a vehicle-safety report.
What do I need to get started?
Your 17-character VIN. Copy it carefully from your vehicle or documents. This form checks the length and characters, not whether a VIN exists or belongs to a particular vehicle.
Where will I check the actual recall status?
The NHTSA link in the Find your VIN section opens the official recall page in a new browser tab. Enter your VIN on that page. For questions about a vehicle’s repair or remedy, contact an authorized manufacturer dealer.
Do I need an account or an application?
